Barabattoia amicorum, commonly called a Fluted Moon Coral, is a type of stony coral known for its striking appearance and vibrant colors. This coral species thrives in moderate to high lighting conditions and requires a steady water flow to maintain its health. Feeding Barabattoia amicorum with small meaty foods like mysis shrimp can help support its growth and vitality. Ensuring stable water parameters and careful placement in the aquarium are essential for the successful care of this beautiful coral species.
Not a newcomer, this appears to be a recent change in nomenclature with previously available specimens probably labeled as "Favia" or "Moonstones" but now we have a new name for at least a few specimens in the trade.
