Ricordea floridia, commonly known as Florida Ricordea, is a type of mushroom coral prized for its vibrant colors and unique texture. These corals come in a range of hues, including bright oranges, greens, and blues, making them a visually striking addition to any reef tank. They thrive in moderate lighting and water flow, and are relatively easy to care for, making them suitable for both beginners and experienced aquarists. Additionally, Ricordea floridia can benefit from occasional feedings of very fine meaty foods to support their growth and overall health.
Beyond being illegal to collect so only available through aquaculture, the most common colors of R.floridia are greens and oranges which makes this purple/blue specimen exceptionally rare!
Coral naturally settled on live rock.
